Claude "Fiddler" Williams Collection
Clay Kirkland Collection
This collection consists of live sound recordings of bands K.C. Grits, Buttpickers, and Jerry Wood playing at Kansas City music venues, including the Cowtown Ballroom in the 1970s. Clay Kirkland, who donated the tapes to UMKC, is one of the performers on the recordings.
Clete Huske Collection
The Clete Huske Collection was a gift of Michael J. Fagras, who donated a selection of his personal record collection to the Marr Sound Archives in December 2014. As part of that donation are scrapbooks housed in LaBudde Special Collections containing clippings of a multitude of musical artists taken from various jazz and blues publications.
Composers and Musicians Autograph Collection
The Composers and Musicians Autograph Collection contains autographs of famous and significant composers and musicians. The signatures are accompanied by a picture of the signer. Many of the signatures are on letters or notes written by the signer. In the case of both Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Nikoly Rimsky-Korsakov, handwritten music accompanies the signature.
Cora Davis Sanders Collection
The Cora Davis Sanders Music Collection was a gift of Joy and Arden Sanders in June 2010. The collection consists of a series of piano lessons accessed through correspondence with the American College of Music in Kansas City, Missouri. Included are lessons along with recitation blanks, which were tests that were taken by the pupil and returned to the school for grading. Although the materials themselves are not dated, postmarks on the mailers indicate the year 1925.

Ed Roche Collection
The collection contains many unique items recorded in the Kansas City area, including political speeches, musical performances, religious services, and advertisements for businesses and organizations. The Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kansas City Conservatory of Music are strongly represented with numerous recordings of each entity. Finally, the collection also holds some national radio programs, such as "The Guiding Light," "Hymns of All Churches," and "Michael Shayne."
Edward "Tookie" Cronenbold Collection
Cronenbold was a member of the Texas Rangers, a western band that was active in the 1930s and 1940s and appeared on radio programs such as the Brush Creek Follies. The collection consists of recordings of the Texas Rangers and interviews with Cronenbold.
Ernest Daniels Collection
The Ernest Daniels Collection was purchased by the Department of Special Collections from Brian Thurn Antiques of Kansas City in January 2006. The collection primarily consists of photographs, but also includes postcards, news clippings and other ephemera and memorabilia, related to Ernest Daniels, a Kansas City jazz drummer, vibraphonist and percussionist.
