Lucerna Undergraduate Research Journal
The Lucerna Undergraduate Research Journal collection contains volumes of the UMKC Honors Program's interdisciplinary research journal. It has published 152 undergraduates' scholarship since the Honors Program introduced the journal in 2006. The collection includes volumes dated between 2009 to the present.
New Letters Records
The New Letters Records contain administrative documents related to creating, editing, and publishing the literary magazine.
Of note are published volumes dating between Winter 1971 up to the present. Select volumes from the 1970s and the present are available to view on-site at Miller Nichols Library's Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room.
School of Dentistry Catalogs
This series contains course catalogs for what is now the School of Dentistry prior to its merger with the University of Kansas City in 1941. Catalogs include ones for the Western Dental College for 1890-1891 through 1918-1919; the Kansas City Dental College for 1894 through 1917-1918; the Kansas City Western Dental College for 1919-1920 through 1940; and the University of Kansas City School of Dentistry for 1941-1959 and 1978-1979.

This collection consists of student published yearbooks for the Kansas City School of Law. All of the yearbooks in this collection were published prior to the K.C. School of Law's merger with the University of Kansas City in 1938. The 1912-1913, 1915 and 1922 yearbooks are restricted for use due to physical condition. UMKC Conservatory Catalogs and Bulletins
This series contains course catalogues and bulletins from the previous iterations of the UMKC Conservatory: The Kansas City Conservatory of Music (or the Conservatory of Music of Kansas City); the Horner Institute of Fine Arts; the Cranston School of Music; the Horner Institute-Kansas City Conservatory; and the Kansas City-Horner Conservatory of Music. The publications date from 1906 to 1957, from before the institution merged with the University of Kansas City in 1959.

The UMKC University Archives Artifacts, Ephemera, and Memorabilia is an artificial collection of paper materials and objects that were originally produced to only have short-term use. However, they have since been kept at the University Archives as historical artifacts and memorabilia because they have historical research interest. This collection includes news articles about the University of Kansas City and the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The UMKC University Archives Subject Files is an artificial collection of documents related to the University of Missouri-Kansas City's history and operations. The files contain articles, internal university documents, newspaper clippings, and other materials related to university offices, departments, centers, and institutes; academic programs; university personnel; student activities; and major campus events.

Zine Collection
The Zine Collection was established with the first donation to LaBudde Special Collections in December 2015, after the Kansas City Zine Convention 2015. Comprising multiple individually-named series, the Zine Collection contains hundreds of magazines representing local and national underground/DIY culture, dating 1970s-2020s.
