Advertising/Promotional Ephemera Collection
The Advertising/Promotional Ephemera Collection contains materials which have been collected from multiple donors over a number of years. Included are ads, promotional booklets, postcards, business cards, flyers and ribbons. The collection is divided into four series with the bulk of the collection holding recipe booklets from various food companies. There is material from Kansas City, other Missouri and Kansas towns, as well as national and international locations.

Dorothy Green Dreher Collection
The Dorothy Green Dreher Collection dates from 1960 to 1997 and contains primarily material related to her writings, which include short stories, poetry and a novel. A number of her works were published in literary magazines for children and adults. Included are manuscripts, correspondence and various publications. Materials have been divided into seven series.

Helen Xarhis-DePasco Collection
The Helen Xarhis-DePasco Collection was acquired from Shirley Gipson, niece of Mrs. DePasco. It contains letters and photographs related to World War II. There are other personal items, but the focus remains on the war and the daily lives of family members waiting in Kansas City. It should be noted that during the period of time the correspondence in this collection took place, Helen Xarhis was using the pseudonym Helen Grey, although the reason is unknown.

The Kansas City Women’s Chorus Collection was a gift of Emily Marrin in August 2021 and consists of programs, posters, flyers, director’s notes, fundraising projects, newspaper clippings, and membership information including rehearsal notes and schedules. Materials are dated from the seasons ranging 2000-2016.
Karen Herman Collection
The collection was a gift from Karen Herman in June 2022. It consists of correspondence, organizational documents, photographs, publicity materials, research, and travel journals relating to the Women’s Foundation, the Hunger Project, and United WE. Of particular note are travel journals from trips to Bangladesh, India, Bangkok, Vietnam, and Cambodia containing drawings, observations, myths, and organizational plans.
