Women's Foundation: We Work for Change, 2018

Scope and Contents From the Collection:

The collection was a gift from Karen Herman in June 2022. It consists of correspondence, organizational documents, photographs, publicity materials, research, and travel journals relating to the Women’s Foundation, the Hunger Project, and United WE. Of particular note are travel journals from trips to Bangladesh, India, Bangkok, Vietnam, and Cambodia containing drawings, observations, myths, and organizational plans.

Located in box 1 (except two oversized folders, located in box 2), this series contains various items from and about Carleton Coon and the Coon-Sanders Original Nighthawks Orchestra. There are letters of correspondence; a painting by Coon; official documents (e.g. Wedding Certificate); articles and periodicals about the orchestra; promotional materials; and other miscellaneous items.
