Dr. Deb shared some information on the water quality of Walden Pond and how its water clarity allows algal growth below the thermocline and very good dissolved oxygen levels deep into the lake's depth. She discussed how and why thermoclines develop in temperate lakes, and read from some of Thoreau's Walden.
