This series contains five original sketchbooks; one original scrapbook; The Ghosts of my Friends, a blank book that is filled with signatures written in ink that have been folded in half to create ghost-like images; and Katzenjammer by Nemesis. These books range in date from 1863 to 1909. The scrapbook contains 35 original pen and pencil sketches by History of British Dogs author G. R. Jesse, comprising dogs, scenes of wild sports, birds, animals, wrecks, etc. The sketchbooks include original drawings of dogs, landscapes, horses, sheep, and chickens.
