Contains 131 items spanning Ed Dix's musical career, from instantaneous-cut lacquer discs of the 1940s to CD-Rs of the 2000s. The early instantaneous-cut discs are studio recordings but many of the later recordings were recorded live from venues such as the Blue Room and New Point Grille in Kansas City. Jazz artists Arch Martin, Paul Smith, Bob Bowman, Tommy Ruskin, and other Kansas City musicians accompany Ed Dix in these live recordings. The collection also contains recordings of Bob Brookmeyer, Warren Durrett and various Kansas City jazz radio programs.
