The E. Grey Dimond Papers contain correspondence, general office files, publications, and audiovisual materials related to Dimond's professional activities at the University of Missouri-Kansas City's School of Medicine, the University of Kansas School of Medicine, the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, and the American College of Cardiology. His personal papers include files related to his early life, his family and household, and his China trips.

This record group series contains Ernest H. Newcomb's personal papers, general office files, correspondence, scrapbooks, administrative reports, bulletins, financial documents, and diaries from when he served as the executive secretary to the University of Kansas City's Board of Trustees, dated 1919-1937. Items included in the collection after Newcomb's death in 1979 are related to the University of Missouri--Kansas City dedicating a campus building in his honor in the 1980s.

However, they have since been kept at the University Archives as historical artifacts and memorabilia because they have historical research interest. This collection includes news articles about the University of Kansas City and the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The UMKC University Archives Subject Files is an artificial collection of documents related to the University of Missouri-Kansas City's history and operations. The files contain articles, internal university documents, newspaper clippings, and other materials related to university offices, departments, centers, and institutes; academic programs; university personnel; student activities; and major campus events.

This record group series includes annual reports, financial reports, "state of the university" reports, presidents' reports, and chancellors' reports dated between 1936 and 1986. These reports were issued by the University of Kansas City Board of Trustees; the University of Kansas City Office of the University President; and the University of Missouri--Kansas City Office of the University Chancellor.
