This material was solicited from Helen Foster Snow (Nym Wales) by E. Grey Dimond in May 1987.
This material consists of letters and other reminiscences by Wales on her career, a letter from her then-husband Edgar Snow on the situation in China in 1939, the preface he wrote for one of her books, and a letter from Franklin Delano Roosevelt. All but one item are photocopies.

This material consists of an article by Snow on the Chinese government railroad, "Journeying through Kiangsu;" notes on the 1935 Chinese student movement; and Wales' manuscript, "The Missourians," on an Edgar Snow Memorial group trip to China. This includes a short story written by Wales and translated into Chinese, published in the People's Daily, September 21, 1987.
