Scope and Contents

This material was donated to University Archives by Mildred Snow Mackey, Edgar Snow's sister, and her husband Claude. The material consists of correspondence, photographs, several manuscripts and printed items. The bulk consists of correspondence from Edgar Snow to family members discussing his time spent in China as a correspondent during the Chinese revolution, the time succeeding it and two wars. It also includes correspondence to and from other family members discussing personal and family matters, Edgar Snow and other issues. The material includes copies of letters made by family members that are not complete and/or clear.
