Scope and Contents
Throughout his career, Dimond diligently contributed to the activities of the American College of Cardiology. This series includes general correspondence related to his business with the College, including that of his year as President (May 1961 - May 1962). Several subseries detail the many programs that the ACC promoted. Most significantly, Dimond aided in the development of the International Circuit Courses and fundraising for the construction of Heart House. In addition, Dimond sat on the editorial board of the American Journal of Cardiology, served as editor of the audiotape journal series ACCEL, and compiled an oral history of prominent cardiologists.
