Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

The Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation section contains Dimond's office files--primarily business and professional correspondence from his position as director of the Institute of Cardiopulmonary Diseases. Very detailed paperwork and research for various grants and research projects is included. During his tenure at SCRF, Dimond contributed to the growth of postgraduate seminars, Cardiology Courses for the Consultant, which were held in conjunction with the American College of Cardiology. The courses from 1960-1967 are included in the SCRF series, and the courses he continued to organize from 1968-1982 can be found in the ACC series. Many photos from Dimond's La Jolla years are located in the photograph collection.
