Series I of the collection contains personal correspondence to and from John Garrity in the form of handwritten letters, typed letters, and postcards. They are in chronological order, mostly dating between 1970 and 1977. It also contains correspondence to and from musicians, specifically regarding music projects and production. Additionally, there is correspondence between Garrity and record companies and recording studios, as well as correspondence from Rolling Stone.
