Scope and Contents
Contained in boxes 409-413, and consists of Congressional gavels, most of which were used during legislative and committee sessions. Many were presented to Bolling and signed by prominent Congressmen, including House Speakers Sam Rayburn, John McCormack, Carl Albert and Thomas "Tip" O'Neill. A few honorary gavels from non-Congressional organizations are also included.
