This series is housed in boxes 11 - 16 and oversize box 17. It includes awards and various forms of recognition spanning the length of Johnson's career for various contributions at the municipal, state, and national levels. Included are items related to the Tuskegee Airmen, several fraternal organizations, commendations from Mayor Kay Barnes, certifications and commendations from the Selective Service System of the united States of America, a commendation from the Universiy of Missouir-Kansas City (UMKC), and numerous other plaques and awards for civil service. Some plaques were not able to be kept, and a file containing photocopies of those awards can be found in Box 11.
