Founded in 2012, the goal of the Kansas City Zine Collective was to foster and grow the zine culture in Kansas City. In addition to zine distribution, the group gave workshops, hosted readings and exhibits, ran pop-up libraries, and visited classrooms. Following their launch of the first ever Kansas City Zine Con in 2015, the group disbanded, donating 914 zines to LaBudde Special Collections.
