He discusses the development of his political ideologies over time, the formation of the Black Committee of 20 along with Bernard Powell and Lee Bohannon, and how the Uprising affected both. At the time of the Uprising, Hinch was under Federal indictment for refusing induction into the Armed Forces in the Vietnam War. His trial, set for some time in April, was postponed for 30 days because of the Uprising.
