Series is located in boxes (binders) 4 and 5, with oversized images housed in box 2. There are over 300 images consisting of movie celebrity shots and movie stills, primarily circa 1940s-1950s. Although many of the celebrity photographs are autographed, it should be noted that not all are original signatures. There are many “studio” photographs with the signatures imprinted on the photo. That being said, a selection of photographs do have original autographs and some are even inscribed to Pennington personally. One notable photograph is inscribed to “Ben Pennington Jr. from Betty Davis” There are also personalized inscriptions from Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart. Individual photographs will need to be analyzed to determine authenticity. Some of the movie still included are The Postman Always Rings Twice, The Great Ziegfeld and Bad Bascomb. Also in this series is a non-movie still which is a composite of photos from the Fibber McGee & Mollie Radio Show.
