The audiovisual collection consists of reel to reel tapes of live performances of operas and Calland's radio programs, including many from his tenure at NPR, plus tens of thousands of sound recordings on LP, 78 and tape formats. There are also 15,872 commercial recordings that have been cataloged in the collection and are searchable through the UMKC Libraries catalog.
