The videos and films series includes video tapes and film reels, broken down by subject: Profiles & Documentaries, Interviews, Speeches, “Bolling Show”, “Washington Report” (“Scrivner-Bolling Show”), TV Spots, Miscellaneous, and Oversized materials. Profiles and Documentaries (1981-1982, 1997) include a 1982 C-SPAN program entitled “A Day in the Life of Rep. Richard Bolling,” as well as “Conversation with Bolling Staff,” filmed in the Department of Special Collections of the UMKC Miller Nichols Library in June 1997. Interviews (1967-1978) include Bolling on topics such as House Reform, the Rules Committee and Vietnam. Speeches (1974-1982) include Bolling announcing his retirement from Congress. The “Bolling Show” (1969-1972) and “Washington Report” (1955-58; a weekly program featuring Bolling and Rep. Errett P. Scrivner of Kansas) contain several episodes from each program and form a large portion of the videos and films series. Television spots (1952-1980) include a news segment featuring Bolling and Schrivner on the Formosa Resolution. Miscellaneous (1960-1981) includes the film “Three Hats,” made by Bolling’s second wife Jim Bolling, about the life of the Congressman. Oversized (1962-1981) includes a tape of a John F. Kennedy visit to Kansas City in 1962.

Scrapbooks in box 436, covering 1948-1983, include correspondence and other documents with original signatures of several United States Presidents and other political leaders.
