Special Collections and Archives Finding Aids

This series contains scripts from The American Past, a radio program produced by Kansas Public Radio at the University of Kansas during the years of 1973 - 2000s. Materials are located in Boxes 1-7 with subject matter covering the gamut of happenings in the United States and elsehwere, throughout history.

The American Composers Collection includes material related to over 150 composers, including manuscript music scores, programs, correspondence, news clippings, and other items. Material varies with composer, from a single item to several folders. The collection was amassed from various donations to the University of Missouri-Kansas City before being given to the Dr. Kenneth J. LaBudde Department of Special Collections. Provenance is noted when known.

The Song Sheet Collection was assembled as an artificial collection from an unknown source, and consists of dozens of song sheets arranged by title.

Consists of interviews, radio broadcasts, live performances, and rehearsals of Bettye Miller and Milt Abel. The series also contains recordings of various radio jazz programs in Kansas City.

Army Reserve.

This collection includes a recording of University of Kansas' 1964 production of West Side Story, in which Mr. Doty starred. Also included are DVDs and CDs of performances by Marilyn Maye, Louise Harrison, and Von Smith.

This series contains miscellaneous and ephemera such as articles, manuscripts, handwritten and typed notes, newsletters regarding various subjects pertaining to Kansas City.

Williams's 1982 campaign for the 11th District of the Jackson County Legislature and his installation for the same, including oversized items and photographs of Williams; and B. materials from the campaigns of Jon Williams and Bill Waris.

Series is contained in Box 36. This series contains general office files from October Terms 1956-1962. Documents include law clerk applications, individual files on law clerks with correspondence, and correspondence with the Supreme Court library and about office furniture. The series is organized in the original order as they were received from the Supreme Court. First is law clerk applications, followed by individual files, then miscellaneous correspondence.
