Biography
William Ryan is a UMKC graduate. He wrote a thesis entitled “African-Americans in Local Broadcasting: Kansas City, 1922-1982.” He went on to develop a book entitled Keep Watching Kansas City: Where Listeners Become Friends. The manuscript for that book and other Ryan papers are held in the State Historical Society of Missouri Archives in Kansas City.
