Biography
Gary Melville Shivers worked in radio and produced jazz programs, including "Gary Shivers on Jazz" at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, as well as programs for KANU at the University of Kansas where he was Program Director. Gary was also the General Manager of KMUW at Wichita State University. He was elected to the Board of Directors of National Public Radio, served as President of the Public Radio Research Consortium, and the Southern Educational Communications Association for public radio.
