Biography

Paul Schoenfield was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1947. He attended Converse College in South Carolina, Carnegie Mellon, and the University of Arizona where he received his doctorate in 1970. He has composed for solo fiddle, orchestra, and chamber ensemble. He has described his music as “not the kind of music to relax to, but the kind that makes people sweat; not only the performer, but audience”.
