Biography
Howard Rittmaster was a Kansas City resident, Jazz connoisseur, and board member of the Friends of Jazz organization. In 1979, Rittmaster organized the Jazz Olympics, held June 1-3. Rittmaster also contributed to the growth of Kansas University’s jazz archive. Outside of his jazz interests, Rittmaster directed the court reporting firm Howard Rittmaster and Associates.
