Biography

Gene Chavez is a Kansas City educator, public historian, and advocate of Latino communities. He has been a member of the faculty of Webster University since 1991, and also of Donnelly College since 2014. He teaches graduate-level coursework in public health counseling. In addition, he has worked as a curator for the Kansas City Museum. In 2015 he helped curate the Museum’s exhibit on baseball in local Latino communities.
