Biography
New York City native, Allen Brings, was born in 1934. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Queens College, a Master’s degree from Columbia University, and a doctorate in both theory and composition from Boston University. He received the Naumburg fellow while at Princeton University. Brings composed for orchestra, bands, choruses, and solo instruments.
