Biography

Richard Larkin "Dick" Dexter was born October 2, 1919, in Prairie Village, Kansas. He was an advertising executive at ISC Financial Corporation and a local public radio volunteer producer and announcer. He created the radio program "The Saturday Afternoon Swing Club," featuring 1920s - 1940s music, for KCUR-FM. Dexter was highly involved, and volunteered, at myriad organizations across Kansas City, including serving as vice president/director of the Chiefs Club, fan organization Of the Kansas City Cheifs football team for 17 years. He died September 26, 2002.
