Biography

Fishing River Association is made-up of churches that were in counties north of the Missouri River. These churches participated in a convention called for the purpose of organizing a new association and lettered out members to form several other churches. These meetings were held in the following counties of Missouri: Lillard County, Clay County, Ray County, Johnson County, Pettis County, Saline County, Jackson County from 1824 to 1859. The minutes in this collection give a summary of the meetings, and any Circular that was shared. The Association also published the Regular Baptist magazine, which contains articles written about their beliefs.
