Biography

The Soong Ching-ling Society, or the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, is named for Rosamond Soong Ch'ing-ling (January 27-1893-May 29, 1981), a Chinese political figure and the third wife of Sun Yat-sen, then Premier of the Kuomintang and President of the Republic of China. It was founded in May 1982 in memory of the late honorary president of the People's Republic of China. Its mission is to enhance international friendship to safeguard world peace.
